Evening all

Third time out for this recipe, and definitely my favourite of the ones I've made so far.

6L Lidl vitafit red grape
6L Lidl vitafit apple
3 x 440ml Strawberry lowicz
1L strong tea (5 bag)
3kg granulated sugar
5tsp pectolase
4tsp Youngs super wine yeast compound

Method
Poured 2 cartons of the juice in
Tipped in sugar
Poured in a kettle full of boiling water, stirred sugar until dissolved
Dissolved pectolase in a cup of warm water
Poured in rest of cartons, and 3 bottles of lowicz
Poured in stewed tea
Topped up with cold tap water to 25L

Temp 22 degrees
Sg 1.090
Exp FG 0.990
Est ABV 13.1%

Tipped in yeast, lid/airlock on, bunged in cupboard.... sorted 😀

How did it end out/ mouth taste ?

Nice mate, fruity and light, I pop half one of the baking aisle wee bottles of glycerin in

2 to 3 keys of sugar makes it from 11ish to 13ish %

Going slightly stronger this time 😵

Nice.... had cause to sample my latest tropical wow vs the Strawberry I made just after, and the Strawberry wins hands down ...

Have you had a wee taste of yours ?

Yeah - it's nice mate, best wow so far. I didn't back sweeten this one with any juice, so nice dry fruity taste.

i now have everything for this except for the strawberry syrup - i could only find the raspberry version - so was thinking to make a raspberry version and then a strawberry version when i can locate it.

was also thinking to use a fourth bottle of the syrup to prime - this would also add more flavour especially with the raspberry as i dont think it will be as strong as the strawberry

I've done both the strawberry version and raspberry version of this.

For my own personal taste in wine I preferred the raspberry as it was drier and sharper.

I've found with the cherry that it lost it's cherryness after fermenting. Found that Blossom Cottage Morello cherry worked better, 250ml per gallon with 1ltr red grape http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=262872735

I've still got 3-4 bottle of the cherry Lowicz don't know what to do with them.

yeh, in a usually 25L batch, came out a little syrupy tasting for me... couldn't quite put my finger on it, but OK to drink though

Ta - just been looking at your red wine recipe with oak chips. Assuming I can get enough RGJ later think I'll use the cherry I have in that one later.

The cherry came out quite well in the all RGJ wow I made before, it's got a 4/5 star rating that I must have recorded, on the app I use for my brews :)

I think I'm doing another 'red' type WOW next... I think I'm going to do the RGJ and Elderberry one, but with a muslin bag for the elderberries. That's got oak chips and some blackcurrant Lowicz in it
