Does anyone have an extract recipe for this?
I really had a taste for it but cant find it anywhere commercially.
It was quite dark and malt forward for a pale, and not to strong.
Id like to have a crack at it if there is something close.

Looking at their site I cant see a beer called 'Pale Ale' however I see a beer that's called Golden Newt, is that the one? It says

"The beer has a prominent hop character; a blend of Fuggles, Goldings and Cascade has been used in the recipe to bring the delicate hop flavour and aroma to the fore. The use of Cascade gives a pleasing citrus aroma.

Finest pale Maris Otter malt has been blended with wheat malt and rye crystal to provide a full flavoured beer."

There a lot of info there so may be able to have a crack at doing a reciepe for you. I've never been an extract brewer so may need some help from other forumites though

Im sure there was once, it was always bottled and I remember it before there was a website.
It was filtered and in caramel brown bottles, about 330ml, with a yellow label.

I found a clue!

Oh dear, nobody rates it very highly, And its been discontinued.
I always thought it would be quite good if it was not filtered and pasturised.
Used to find it cheap in a big clearance basket.

In the end it wont matter if its extract or grain, the Abv at 3.6 was low enough for economys sake. Will need to finish my grain setup though.
