Hollins Inn closed a couple of years back, is now a nursery. The bowling green's still there though (I lost 14-21 tonight)
The Bird In Hand closed about 18 months ago. It was in a stupid place.
The Cross Keys closed about 5 months ago, re-opened about a month back, now closed again
The Waggon & Horses closed last night

Just The Border Rose left now.

But it's not much further to walk to the Mason's Arms in Gauxholme, so Walsden may soon have no pubs at all....

Familiar story, the nearest pub to me was knock down a month or so ago, soon to be a Morrison's. Mind you it was a sh*t hole.

Sadly a sign of the times. Pubs seem to be closing all over. But as a home brewer I don't frequent pubs very often, and with the smoking ban even less. Not that the govt would own up to that one.
