Homark Beer Engine - advice needed!

Here's a quick question you might be able to help out on. The cylinder is a little bit sticky - it needs a bit of lubrication. Can you suggest anything? I guess when beer gets in it, it should be fine but anyway.. any ideas would be grand!

The Angram I have uses a different type of seal and didn't need any lubricant. As you say it should free up once you pump beers through.
ManseMasher uses this (taken from the other homark rebuild thread) which may work.

I eventually passed this beer engine onto another home brewer and got an Angram. Bought a 10L cask, tap and the rest of the gear. Worked a treat! I had hand pulled real ale. Rare in Australia. Since then I've returned back to the UK so the need for my own hand pulled real ale isn't so dire.
