hi all,
could resist a brew today.
but more I thought about a ipa-lager seat of my pants approach it got me exited!
now the recipe is from David Heathes Red x IPA on youtube..
but I only got M-54 California lager yeast.
so for the multiple mash schedules is turned out that the pre boil est SG is up from 1.039.
Final 1.050 (up 3 points

the recipe for 12l batch:
2.58kg red x malt
0.14kg cara pils
0.03kg choc malt
7.5g magnum @ 60 mins
10g simcoe @ 15 mins
10g sorachi ace @ 15 mins
whirlfloc @ 15 mins
10g magnum @ 0 mins
10g sorachi ace @ 0 mins
20g simcoe dry hops 4 days
10g sorachi ave dry hops 4 days
MJ M-54 carafornia Lager.
60 min boil
mash steps:
52c @ 30 mins
65c @ 30 mins
72c @ 30 mins
78c @ 10 mins mash out.

What frantic cleaning up lol
Desided the brew into cubes for now.
A starter is already on!
A enjoyable time with the red x and new hops (sorachi Ace)
Loved the mash steps.
The colour is great.
Sorry rushing this part! Hoose smell like a brewery!! Lol

got as much volume as I could without spoiling the reading etc.

happy along the carb'd up bottles.
the ferm temp is 19c.
(the yeast range is 18-20c)
