Is anyone experienced in making a hop paste for dry hopping? How did you do it, how did you find it went?

I've heard of hop tea before but never a paste. What is the purpose of a paste as opposed to just chucking the hops in?

I read about this somewhere ( I can't remember exactly where though :wha: ), the theory went along the lines that leaf hops are a very inefficient way of getting the goodies into the beer so blend them in a little water or beer first. It makes sense though I'm not sure how you're meant to get them out.

I have done it. I use about 50g of hops and blended with a little water. It did not really turn into a paste but I loaded the lot into a muslin and chucked it in with the hoppy water left behind. I think it worked very well but a word of warning: If you plan on using SWMBO's blender it will dye the plastic green, mine was not best pleased ;)
