I live near Bristol where we have very hard water. Normally alkilinity is pretty much constant at around 260. Today however it was just 188. I reckon it is due to the floods we have had down here. If you are using CRS don't rely on your normal dosage
 
Depending upon the depth of the utility's groundwater wells and their proximity to rivers, some fluctuation in mineralization can occur in a groundwater supply. There is always an interplay between surface water, infiltration, and groundwater so droughty conditions can create more mineralized water quality and high rainfall can reduce mineralization. Its good to have that alkalinity test kit on hand to help guide your brewing liquor adjustments.
