Off on a revisit to Dawkins brewery Bristol this morning so plenty of ale will be swishing about for a few hours,we went there last year and the owner/ brewer Glenn is the perfect host to a coachful of thirsty ale drinkers, then its a dodge around the Bristol pubs he supplies for 2/3 hours before wearily getting back home around 8pm tonight, has to be done I'm afraid.lol

Tell us more - is the brewery easy walking distance from the centre? Good train service to Bristol from here so that sounds tempting.
best way to visit Dawkins is book a coach and take 30/40 with you the entry fee is £5 each and yesterday he put on 4 pipkins I think they are called(36 pints) of 4 different ales and will host you for a few hours or until you drain the kegs, our lot included a few women and a fair few light drinkers so some had more than their share others less:whistle:you can turn up with just a few of you but you wont get treated royaly like a coachtrip with the beers to sample at £4.50 and £5 a pint:oops:anyway its on the eastliegh side of Bristol not convenient for a city centre booze cruise but there are lots of cracking pubs within walking distance:thumb:,needless to say we shall impose ourselves on him again this time next year:grin:
