Hi All
For my first brew I had bought a rotating sparge arm from the homebrew shop and it worked fine, for my second brew last weekend it worked for 10 seconds and then jammed and is still jammed. I have taken it apart and rubbed the tube down with some wet & dry(foolishly because I can't really send it back now) I have been thinking of making a copper manifold. Does anyone else do this? and how effective is it?

Aluminium foil / plate on top of mash with holes punched in it . . . jug sparge liquor onto that . . . Sorry I have a highly technical sparging set up . . . . honest
