I have been brewing for over 45 years and witnessed many changes in the hobby. A plethora of equipment can now be bought that could only be dreamed of by the average home brewster five decades back; and then there's the Internet...

Anyway, from time to to time ~ around every decade ~ I review my production techniques, ingredients and equipment. Fly sparging is used commercially because it is very effective and efficient. My contrivance is insulated and motor (12v DC, safe) driven in order that liquor throughput can be optimised by the user and is not a function of the arm rotation. One of my gandsons was kind enough to upload a video: with instructions.

I hope it inspires one of you to design a better one for the £30 this one cost.
