I hope this is in the right place.
Im a total newbie so Im going to start with a kit or two, but i would like to have the beer on draught to my bar (in the lounge) can anyone suggest the best system? I have plenty of room under the bar for kegs etc

depends what type you after cask or keg draught.

keg-pub tap, cornie kegs chiller & co2

cask, a pin and a beer engine.

plenty of info on the forum if you do a search

Close, but HERMS etc. is rather specialist brewing equipment and this is more of a general equipment question, so I've moved it but you don't get lines or detention this time.

As UP says though, we probably need a bit more to go on, but I use the Cornelius system with pressurised stainless steel kegs and beer lines to taps.

Frangley, I've tried nearly all that is to be tried and my advice is

gas/demand valve/corny keg/cask breather/beer engine.

Nothing on the market gives the creamy head or taste that a beer engine can deliver, it's that simple. It isn't the cheapest way to do it, but in the end you WILL see and taste the difference :thumb:

EDITED as wasn't quite right, still doesn't look it :wha:

This may be impossible but has anyone seen a beer engine that can be easily integrated into a kegerator ? eg the swan neck and pump handle on outside of door attached to a shank going through the door and the pump cylinder thingy and all the beer line on the inside on the door shelf ?

This would be ideal to keep the temp of the beer cool until it hits the swan neck. Also stops the blighters breeding in an otherwise warm external pump.

Obviously my kegerator will be set to a decent serving temp and not ice cold.

I had a quick look at the pullman one shown on the Northern Brewer site's video, it looks fab, but doesnt look like you can fit it to a kegerator since its mounted on its own wooden plinth which you have to fix to a table or bar top somehow. and then either manhandle kegs in and out of the fridge or have a beer line go through the fridge door to the keg (ugly).

Great, I have a reference picture now to describe what I want to do..

the pic with the serving wench...

Imagine the white cupboard that the pump is attached to is a kegerator with a shank going through the door. Now the tricky bit, is it possible to have the gubbins under the wooden plinth on the inside of the fridge ? I realise this may not be possible due to the pump handle needing to be connected directly to the pump cylinder. I do not want to open the fridge door and pull a pump handle (although I guess I could mount the whole thing on the top shelf of my fridge and station the wench inside the fridge :hmm: )
