Bottled this last night, fairly pleased with the result came in at a touch over 12.5%. Drinkable now, nice & zesty but if it mellows a bit over time could be a little cracker.

Going to stash a bottle away to make bucks fizz with on Xmas Day, that should keep the MIL quiet for at least half the day

sounds great.... :thumb: .
im glad it came out well ...

do you have to put sweetners in it before bottling for taste ...

also is it like beer as in needing to prime the bottles ...

sorry if im being thick but this is my first batch of wine ....

regards mick... :hat: .

Hi Mick

No sweeteners & didn't prime bottles.

Oooo this one looks like a fun recipe! I'm adding this to the list of our bookmarked recipes :D

Got a couple of DJ's freeing up in a week, so I'm on the hunt for something to try out :)

Thank you for posting this!

Moleys guide says to add a crushed campden to the receiving DJ when you rack, i don't suppose it will harm putting it in when you get them.
I am not sure of you need to wait a few days before drinking it after adding the campden, i am sure someone will advise.

Nice one, now get another on, its a criminal offence to have empty DJ's in the house.

I like your labels. Although I gave up labeling as a general rule unless I want to give any away. SWMBO goes though the stuff so fast the labels are still damp.
