I've just made a batch of WoW, which I'm very happy indeed with. My wife is still nursing our second baby though, and won't be able to drink any until January. Will it keep that long? How long, generally, does home-made wine keep for?

Also - I used finings to clear it, so it's only a few weeks since I started. Is there any advantage to be had by letting it mature in the bottle?

It should last at least a year, letting it mature in the bottle will usually round the flavours of which can lead to WoW's that have mixed fruits in them loosing some of the flavour of the less intense fruits, for instance raspberry from a apple/raspberry juice drink. Certainly set aside a bottle or two for comparison in a year and 2 years time.
