Lidl is selling thermometers for £3.00 atm. It's the one that tells you the temperature indoors and outside of your home (it has a probe to put outside the window). For homebrewer without sophisticated cooling contraptions you could use it to measure the ambient temp in the room you are fermenting in and tape the probe to the side of a FV for accurate temp of the fermenting beer. It also has the min/max temp feature so you can tell what the min/max temp was when you were away from home. Bought one today and thought I would share, because at 3 quid it's a bargain imho. When stuck to the vessel it tells your temp to within the 10th of a degree, so a lot more accurate than the strip lcd thermometers that come with the kits and tend to light up all over the place and you have to guestimate what the real temp is.
