There are different kinds of hop extracts - isomerized for bitternig and flavour/aroma. I used only isomerized for bitterness correction in ready beer, result was disappointing, perhaps bc i had to add really large amount. At the brew time i realized hop pellets had strange smell, had to dump large portion and then beer was tasting flat as pancake. The bitterness from extract is unpleasant to me.
