After doing several kits over the past few months and bottling them using both plastic and glass i must say i think the beer in glass bottles has turned out better than the beer in the plastic bottles. The glass bottled beer seems to have more life in it.
I would like to hear if you lot think there is a difference between the two.

PET bottles are slowly gas permiable, so over time gas can escape, and oxygen can get in.

There's a reason you don't see beer in plastic bottles in the supermarket (ok, there is at least one that I can remember).

It's always worth using a few plastic bottles, I usually use three or four 500ml cola bottles as pressure testers, give them a squeeze every now and then or pick them up by the cap and flick them to hear the note they produce. Those bottles are never kept longer than a couple of months.

But I bet it's a 2 litre ‘Value’ Bitter, 3% abv or less
