Has anyone really benefitted from this membership?

There is not much direct benefit to me on on a home brewing front as the campaign is more about steering politics and helping promote breweries, pubs and pub drinkers.

The main benefit I get from CAMRA is the information on Breweries Tap take over nights, new beer launchs and where/ when the beer festivals are. The benefit my home brewing gets is the chance to try a wider range of beers and compare these against my own brews.

Outside of home brewing I get the excuse to get out to different pubs and towns for festivals and enjoy (normally) great beers. My local branch seams really active (cant compare them to other branches as I don't know what others are like) with social nights, trips and general information on whats happening in my area.

As has been said you don't have to agree with everything they do or be an active campaigner but overall I personally benefit from it.
