erm I mean cleaning bottles.

Today is bottling day for my Blonde Ale, so that means cleaning bottles from the shed.

Checked them over, rinsed them good and then drowned/soaked them in a VWP mix and then gave them squirt of StarSan to drip dry

Before you call me in for animal cruelty, that was how I washed the bottles not the snails.

Sadly two snails slipped through my quality check and was found at the bottom of the pot with VWP. So I gave them a proper funeral, flushed them down the drain.

Now the question remains did any get all the way to the bottling process? Well, I will know when I get the complain letter written in green ink.

I hope not. I think the calcium in the shell would push the ph up giving you poor secondary fermentation.
