I've recently recieved this from Ross at Craftbrewer along with one of my favourites for strong ales-Thames Valley.

Has anyone used this one before(1026)? I'm quite excited about it. I think it'll be tried out on my Orc Slayer first. I have a good idea how OS tastes with various yeasts so i'm eager to find out how British cask performs and what the taste characteristics are like. :D

Thames Valley is probably my favourite yeast for strong ales. It has a more complex flavour than 1968 ESB and seems to suit the NZ hops i use more than ESB.

I'll be using my normal method as shown in my liquid yeast 'how to'. I'm keen on getting some agar and getting some slants made up. I seem to be struggling to find agar here though. :hmm:

Thanks for that SF. I hadn't thought of trying a chinese food store. We have an asian one in town that caters for all that type of stuff.
