Hi all,

I have been keeping things simple lately hop wise and using only Goldings or Fuggles. Fancy trying a different hop this time and wondered if anyone had used Bramling Cross recently?

Recipe will be something like;

Marris otter 80%
Crystal Malt 10%
Biscuit Malt 5%
Wheat Malt 5%

Bramling Cross 30g @ 60 mins

Bramling Cross 15g @ 20 mins

Bramling Cross 15g @ 5mins

Used Safale 04 last time so will provably use that again. Thanks in advance, Alan

No but I've got some and plan to make a first gold and bramling cross bitter. It's apparently black curranty which sounds unusual

I made a single hop bramling cross pale ale and its a good very English tasting hop with a bit of a twist. I never thought it tasted of blackcurrant but someone else picked it out straight away without knowing anything about the hop.
