First brew of the new year. I've ordered more ingredients in, but until then using up the last remaining few bits of what I have left, and am brewing a London Pride-ish bitter.
Grist ration MO/Crystal/Choc 95%/4%/1%, target OG 1.042.
Using Target for 90min copper hop about 27 IBU, then Goldings and Hallertauer at 15 mins. Don't know how this hop combo will work out but it'll be interesting.
Right now about 20 mins into the boil...

Thanks guys. Yeast (S04*1) pitched at 5:35 - that 5 1/2 hours from doughing in - record time!
BTW I took about 2l of the first runnings from the mash and reduced them down on the stove to add a bit of caramel character.
Fortunately nothing went wrong and I haven't had a shed load of beer...
Ended up with 23l at 1.041 - I was down on volume by a litre or so so I sparged the hops with some liquor from the HLT which had cooled down quite a bit.
All in all quite pleased
