Is adding a second kettle element into a boiler. I'm looking at the Leyland homebrew 33 litre boiler, while I belive they will add a second element if you ring up and speak nicely, i obviously have other things i need to be spending my money on within the next 7 months. So how easy would it be to fit a second to it in the future?

Easy mate :thumb:

Use hole saw bit attached to drill
Fit element

done!

take it you will need to plug both in separatly or can you wire them together?? Or, plug in both separatly to get it to boil then use one to keep it rolling?

You need to keep them seperate, and plugged into different outlets, the draw is too much for one normal household plug socket to handle two.

Depending on how well you can insulate the boiler and the ambient conditions you should easily be able to get it up to temp on 2 elements then turn one off, I managed to do that :thumb: and I think thats what most do.
