There are 2 types of politician, sign posts and weather cocks.
The problem we have at the moment is that parliament is full of cocks.
- The sign posts point in the direction they believe we should go whether that will be popular or not, Thatcher was one of them as is Tony Benn and a few others.
Then there are the weather cocks who see which way the wind is blowing before they decide which way to point.
