after having a few mishaps brewing (a couple of brews ruined by yeast infection/sterilizing) (I've been using caustic soda) I've also bought some StarSan.
I essentially have a bin with a waterbutt tap on the bottom... Am I okay to fill said bin with 5 gallons of water and the correct ammount of Starsan to soak equipment and then just leave it in there? Or do I have to dump the water after each use?
If I can have a sterilizing bin, how long can I leave it before I should replace it? (the bin has a lid btw)
