I think there are some useful suggestions in there but also some which seem way wide of the mark.
I'm not sure where they got the idea for subbing Brewer's Gold for Chinook but I can hardly think of two more different hops. One is high alpha, dank, piney and citrusy and the other is much lower alpha, with a soft, floral, and berry fruit aroma.
