Hi there I know this is an old thread but did this work? I have had the same problem and have just bought a ceramic block I am planning on bypassing the entire thing .

I tried taping it out of the way and it went completely dead part way through the boil because the thermal fuse had blown (Hidden under a white woven cover)

The thermal fuse was bypassed with a decent connector block so rather than have no protection I replaced the 125C thermal cut out with a 140C one from Amazon.

Not had a problem since :thumb:

note: remove protection from electricals at your own risk!

I have just done exactly as Dave1970 has done.
Thermal Fuse removed completely (although I do have a new 167C one to put in should I decide to) and 120C cutout replaced with a 140C one.
Was easy enough to do although a bit fiddly if you have big hands!

Fingers crossed for the first brewday on Saturday!
