I am planning on using john guest pipe and fittings between the hlt and mash tun and mashtun outlet to boiler. will there be a problem using this pipework with off tastes etc? im sure I had seen someone else using it but thought best check before ending up with a spoilt batch. thanks

im pretty sure the max temp for the standard 15mm plumbing fittings is circa 70-80C but can easily be checked by going to the john guest site, i dont know about the plastic plumbing tube?

Hi Danb.
I have used john guest speedfit pipe and fittings on my all grain set up for about a year know. Never had a problem except let a pipe swing to close to the burner and scorched the pipe. Didn't burn through though.
By the way I'm only at Rainworth if you need any more info.
