Hi there,
I have managed to get my hands on a nice temp controlled fridge and am going to try a lager.
I am cool with the 2 week primary fermentation @ about 12 deg c then d rest for 2 days at 16 , but not sure after that. My thought is to rack into secondary fermenter with a load of mittlefrau, then leave at 2-4 deg c for 6 weeks, then rerack, batch prime and bottle. Will there be enough yeast for secondary after that???? Will obviously nest another 6 wks to condition in the bottle etc. Would it be better to 'lager' in the bottle?
Any advice or tweaks on above plan would be brilliant. Many thanks.
Will

There will be plenty of yeast left over to carbonate the beer after lagering.

Cheers peeps. Still unsure.

your schedule sounds ok to me, if your fridge will go lower take it down to 0-1C
the colder the better afaik. you may also want to raise the temp to 15-16C for the last 2 days before bottling for a 'dactyl rest. tho im no expert.
