I've always presumed it's "wort" , like in "sport".

I read on a British web site it's called "wert", and have seen a few American youtube videos where they call it "wert", but then those crazy guys call solder "sodder" (seriously).

So, how do you pronounce it?

Erm yeah, How about Fuggles. as in "he's a proper thug" or "cor fu , what a scorcher". I think i say wert and thug gles most of the time .Only know one other brewer my way and we both pronounce them differently every time .

Be a good sport, let's make some wort! (probably wrong, stupid English language!)

It doesn't matter, but I say it as wart (like sport)... even though I know thats wrong. I also pronounce trub as in scrub, fuggles as in thug-ills, Wyeast as in why-east and Saison ans in Say-zon.

I know fuggle about the correct way to say them but I say Fug-alls and Sayzon like you..

How about cerveza? Ser-Vey-za or Ther-ve-sa

What about niche?

I would (like most normal people I'm sure) say knee-sh but crazy people (usually Americans) say nitch. W T Fudge.

And yeah it's wert.
