Using a Top Tap King Keg

A friend I know has a King Keg and he says you don't need a fermentation bin. He puts the contents of his beer kit into the king keg, places it somewhere warm, and then drinks it after 4 weeks. This sounds nice and easy. Are there any disadvantages to doing it this way?
 
It's possible but I'd say the beer could end up with a yeasty taste and could be prone to infection. :hmm:
