Interesting read on the BBC but are they like wind farms a nice idea but not up to the job?
It's about time we harnessed the potential energy that crashes onto our shores every day. We are capable and I'm excited to see this happen.
The Cardiff scheme is said to be able to power all of Wales and for a lot cheaper than nuclear.
...yeah but will it? It's like the fracking...they won't deploy the energy they'll sell it to the highest bidders...which ever country it is...fact.
Cheers
Clint
........ It will produce a huge amount of electricity in a predictable and manageable fashion. And it will potentially create a new industry which the uk will be the world leader in [emoji1303]
Agree ... :thumb:
... but then we will either be overtaken by another country (just like happened with almost everything else we have invented or developed) ...
... or, if it is successful, the government will sell it off to their mates at a discounted price after the taxpayer has taken all the risks.
There I go being cynical again!
We might have to build a few more aircraft carriers before that happens :whistle:I forgot to add to my map post above the bridge could generate electricity but that as far as I know was not the original intention, I hope common sense prevails and we get it sooner rather than later.
