In an attempt to make a better stout, I decided to try a Coopers stout kit, but brewing it at a smaller volume. My hope is that by making 3 gallons with a 1.7kg malt can and 500g of DME the final product will be a better pint than following the "can and a kilo" method and making 5 gallons. Don't get me wrong, Coopers stout is fine, but playing with recipes...food/beer/what have you can lead to some excellent outcomes. My O.G. came in at 1.045 and the yeast is happily doing its thing as I type. Cant wait to find out how this will taste...
