I've mentioned it previously, but I'm in the process of making my own press and scratter. I've taken photo's, and these will go up on my webshots page tomorrow (when I have a day off). just thought I'd mention it now.

and so here's a link to the whole album, but I know some people have issues with webshots, so here's one or two photo's so far...

we've made a saw horse!

as far as we got at the weekend.

the top cross piece isn't fixed into the press, it's free moving, hence the need to block it up, else the A frames aren't stable vertically.... :whistle:

the tall piece in the middle will become the spindle on my scratter.
 
heres a link to our cider adventure last year,

note the changes to the press on the second pressing, the juice flows more freely without the front on it... :idea:

the cider is being drank now and is fantastic...... :party:


we are about to drag the press outta the shed soon for the start of this years pressings
