Entering Home Brew Competition

I'm going to a local beer festival near St. Andrews in a few weeks.

There's a homebrew competition I'm going to enter (think you can win like a stay in a Country house or whatever). The guy said just bring some bottles along.

Anyone ever done this? How was the experience? What goes down etc...? : cheers:

The guy that is judging is a guy I know who is the owner/brewer of a 1-man micro-brewery that supplies a lot of the restaurants/pubs around here. I re-use his bottles for my own beer....hope this works in my favour
