They ran this last year and this one was the winner:

I tried a pint and wasn't too impressed; but i'm not a fan of the traditional style mid brown bitter style.
If I entered it again this time I would definitely brew on the "safe" side that would appeal and be appreciated in the Nicholsons pubs as they pick the overall winner to be made from the catergory winners.
