My 4th AG brew, and 16th all time brew. I brewed this back in May this year, and based it on a well known clone recipe for Old Hooky which is one of my all time favourite beers.

ABV 4.5%
IBU 30.5
EBC 27.7

3.00kg Maris Otter
410g Flaked Maize
245g Crystal 60L
100g Black Malt
330g Sugar

37g Challenger 90min
12g Fuggles 10min
1 tsp Irish Moss 10min

10l mash at 67 degC 90min
21l sparge at 78 degC

Design a Brew yeast from Hamstead Brewing Centre (my local, 5 mins drive away!) pitched at 27 degC, OG 1.043

Primary 5 days.
Racked to secondary 10 days FG 1.006

Racked into KK, conditioned for four weeks. No sugar added this time.

A malty, nutty brown ale with loads of hop character (not too bitter) and a nice head. Very drinkable and didn't last long at all.
