after bottling my ginger beer.... abv 5.6% I got sick of waiting so I thought cheeky vimto might be worth a go.... I've just boiled the vimto and added it to the apple juice.... waiting now while it cools a dot before I pitch the yeast...
I used the following

2lts Vimto
6lts Apple juice
200g caster sugar
6g yeast

got a reading of 1074... not sure what that means as regards to finished alcohol content as I don't really know what to expect it to finish at.. any thoughts?

is cheeky vimto not vimto and port? sounds quite an interesting brew.u would probably get something similar to turbo cider maybe 6/7%.I tried the turbo cider with apple and blackcurrant juice, it turned out very sweet, i forgot to add the sweeteners when bottling so thats maybe how!

I've made a few variants on this recently. If my calculations are right then you may be looking at somewhere between 8/10% rather than 5/6%. I had a 1071 OG that finished at 1002, which I calculated to be 9.1%. :D
