i think its a bit popular now pubs are an expensive hobby.......get a few mate to brew a potion each then get together 4 a few snifters... :drink: :drunk:

worked for us

Well just spent the afternoon bottling coopers Larger. I had a quick taster and I must say it taste's pretty dam good to me. Now what to do next? More wine or try a cider.

ive just racked 5 galls of my ginger beer into another fv,
its a bugger to syphon with all the bits in it, :?
i ended up passing some of it through a boiled cotton cloth,
tastes strong and maybe a bit dry, hard to tell on 1st taste, will be doing another soon though..

i also spent a few hours racking 5 galls of tc and wurzels yesterday had my 1st taste and they all taste greeeeat......

time to do a apple wurzels now..... :D

ive moved my 5 galls of ginger beer into another fv to clear,

so ive got a spare 5 gall fv spare......i suppose it would be unlucky to leave it empty...

so its time for a 5 gall wurzels..... :D
4 litres white grape juice
2 litres of apple
5 litres orange juice
4kg sugar boiled to a syrup

5 tsps each Pectolase, Glycerine, Nutrient
1 tbsp each Tannin, GP Yeast
Water to 5 gallons
and away she goes....

ive also added a tap to the fv to hopefully make racking stuff easier.....

after fermenting and a couple of days to rest the 5 galls of wurzels is on the move...

I would recommend beer kit enhancer or a mix of 50:50 DME and glucose
which temp to brew at
18C if you can hold it there
use the yeast that came with it or a better one,
Use the yeast that came with the kit for this one, try Nottingham Ale yeast next time
add any thing else.... :!:
Not this time, but a little Saaz hop tea next time?
its my 1st lager for 18 years,
As it's your first lager for a while don't change too much this time around :thumb:

Use your hydrometer to make sure it's finished fermenting before bottling and use 3/4 tsp of sugar per 500ml bottle maximum as primings and it should be fine :thumb:

cheers tubby...

is a beer enhancer a brewing sugar...?

i have been brewing in the airing cupboard...and it varies fron 20-26 in there....been fine for the wines,

so somewhere else around 18 is best for lager....

i have various yeasts, and the one with it is unlabeled, so i thought i may use a better one......assuming the unlabeled is not very good.... :wha:

i will have a ponder b4 i start this one off...
