My Solomon Grundy Rose smells like Benilyn

Hi All

I have just made a batch of Rose and to be honest i am not sure if it is right or not it is missing something. It tastes sweet enough, colour is good and nice and clear.

Is there anything i can do to make it more appealing.

If it smelled of calpol it would be ok as calpol tastes quite nice...

Had to edit last post, but yes calpol, they dont make phycotropics into strawberry flavour though, shame.

Hi Adam,
Welcome to the forum. What you need to do is let the wine mature. I know that manufacturers say ready in 7 days or whatever, but that is bull sh*t. And even they know it. But it sells kits. You probably haven;t done anything wrong, although it's difficult to judge that on a forum. Give it time, and see how it goes. I would leave it for at least 4-6 months to mature, but you can try a bottle every now and then to see how it's going. As long as you kept everthing sanitised you will be fine.
