I made some pomace wine by refermenting pressed black grapes with water and sugar. The result was unimpressive and failed to clear. I tried the same with elderberries with similar results. However, once clear, I blended the two batches. They complemented each other very well so instead of having 9 bottles of insipid wine, I now have a very acceptable table wine which is far superior to a Winebuddy red for just the cost of the sugar.
