Having got back into brewing after a long break, I have had differing results. My first brews St Peter's IPA and Wherry brews were IMO very good, however the next two a Hoppy Copper, and a Milestone Shine On were drinkable but disappointing. I have issues with the budget kegs which haven't helped, but hopefully these have been resolved.

If encouraging new brewers what tips or words of wisdom would you give them to avoid any problems? Are there certain kits to try (as they are reliable ),or stay away from. Certain tips such as batch priming, using certain sugars, etc. What golden nugget of advice would you pass on to help new comers with this fantastic hobby.

Mine would be do your research, use the forums for reviews on kits and equipment, so you are aware of any issues, and avoid wasting your hard earned cash.
