A dry hop or hop tea will give it a lift.
Saaz for a lager taste, Cascade for a US IPA, anything on offer for an experiment?

Seconded, a Hop tea, leave it for 10/15 mins will give a good increase in flavor, and dry hops will add aroma.

Did you use sugar or spraymalt? using Dry malt extract, will give more body to the beer than normal brewing sugar.
