Not sure where to put this - someone at work had a kids party, and brought in the last of the sweets for us staff to finish off. It was a Swizzles 5kg 'Party Pack', same as this one here at Costco https://www.costco.co.uk/view/p/swizzels-matlow-party-pack-bucket-5kg-77013

I claimed the bucket it came in, which has a really nice tight fitting lid. A few moments with a tapered drill added an airlock hole in the lid (theres a small thicker section which is ideal), and marked up in one litre increments with a Sharpie Pen. Comes out at 12L filled to the top.

In radio, we call making something from recycled parts homebrewing, so ive homebrewed a brew bucket! :thumb:

As it contains sweets that are all wrapped separately it may not be food grade, if it is nice find.

It has a food grade symbol embossed on the bottom alongside the recycling symbol (PP, but not sure of the number)

I wouldnt trust it with more than 'warm' liquids though

Bakery shops (even the bakeries in supermarkets) often have used 5kg buckets from icing or other stuff. You can always ask them. They make a nice 1 gallon fermenter for those experimental batches :)
