Default Buffalo Boiler sale

Nisbets are currently offering 50% off on Buffalo Boilers which makes their 40l version £79.99

https://www.nisbets.co.uk/buffalo-ma...r-boiler/gl349

I built my first 3v system using two of these and a thermopot MT so thought it might be of interest to somebody! I understand they are decent for BIAB though too...

All you need is a replacement tap and hop filter and you're good to go!

Cheers

Cheers Deth. How easy and cheap are they to convert to a mash tun? Would be nice to keep my ace as a HLT.

I used mine as HLT and Copper with a Thermopot for a Mash Tun but I guess you could... It's a concealed element but you'd want to keep the grain off it with a false bottom somehow and get a filter on the tap but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

That said it's only about £50 more for a 32.5l Thermopot (and c.£30 for a bottom) and that'd be money better spent in my mind.
