Hi Guys

About to do a Belgian Dubbel and been told it could do with 12 months in the bottle. I currently only have Coopers PET plastic bottles. Worried they wont do the job over such a long time frame.

Thoughts ?

I have some kegs due to arrive but don't want to take one up for 12 months! and I also have some glass flip top bottles coming but also don't want to occupy them either.

Do you think I can get away with the Cooper PETs ?

Should be fine. People say plastic is permeable but I'm yet to have a problem even long term - having the space filled is the problem like you say. If you're happy to keep it in your PETs then I'd just go for it - make sure they're out of the light, a cardboard box is a good way.

Ok cool... Looks like its worth ago...

BUT

I am now thinking about picking up a fourth keg... For "special" brews :P

Wife is going to kill me! :P
