Brewed up a batch of this last night, its for the other halves birthday in Feb as she loves wheat beer, but I think I am going to be putting away a fair amount of it too!

Slightly changed up the recipe based on the companies own recipe and what I had in stock, used up the last of my amarillo so will be dry hopping with simcoe as well which hopefully will add another dimension to the tropical fruitiness!

Quantities are a bit odd as I scaled the recipe down to 15L:

WOW thanks for posting this one RD its a blinding beer! I know this doesn't sound that appealing but the best way I can describe it is a really nice beery version of Lilt! Loads of tropical aroma and flavour and nice smooth bitterness with that nice frothy wheat base and it's only been in the bottle 2 weeks...

Some yeast chews up ibu's.

Try splitting off part of the batch and pitching a British Ale yeast and see the difference.

Did this with a saison yeast vs nottingham. Massive difference in bitterness.

Glad you like it your Royal dudieness!
It's my favourite so far, going to be putting on another batch on Sunday.
Would you recommend any changes or tweaks?

Think the simcoe definitely brings a bit extra to the party and I might consider trying out a different yeast next time but otherwise if it ain't broke....

I'm brewing up another batch of this for a party in March.
Should be nice and ready by then.

Slight change to the hop bill as I felt the citra was a bit dominant in the first effort, the main taste after a bit was grapefruit and the Amarillo took a back seat.
So...
10g Amarillo @60
10g Citra @60
30g Amarillo @10
20g Citra @10
30g Amarillo @ 3
20g Citra @3
50g Amarillo whirlpool
30g Citra whirlpool
Then see what I've got left for a dry hop.

See how this baby turns out.
