I am following a recipe for barley wine. I used pearl barley from the supermarket. The recipe called for lemons in addition to sugar and yeast. I seem to be on my way to making an alcoholic lemon barley water. Is this right? I made it about 4 weeks ago and have transferred it to another demijohn and it has the appearance taste and smell of thick lemon barley water. I topped it up with mostly water with some honey dissolved in it. Has anyone else experienced this?
