Random question. I forgot to take the starting gravity of my turbo cider. Don’t suppose anyone knows the average starting gravity for an Apple & Raspberry TC?

3l Apple juice
440ml lowicz raspberry
1l water topped up.

Hi!
Back of an envelope calculation: Apple juice is roughly 10% sugar, say 300g in 3 litres. Raspberry syrup is 86% sugar, say 380g in one bottle.
That's 680g of sugar in your juice and syrup.
1000g in 1 litre has a sg of 1.360. You have 680g in 4.44 litres - (680/1000)*360/4.4 = 55.6, so you have a rough approximation of your starting gravity - 1.0556.
Check your apple juice carton for a more accurate sugar content.

Cool thanks, being a newbie didn't realise you could work it out like that...
