Morning, I have made my first elderflower wine and it is happily bubbling away in the demijohn. I was going to decant into the brown 500ml screw top bottles, adding a half a teaspoon of sugar to each as per the recipe's instructions.

I've been reading though and now I'm concerned I should be using champagne style bottles, with cages and what not?

I really don't want to end up with a kitchen full of elderflower, so would appreciate advice!

PET bottles like the Coopers ones or fizzy drinks bottles will be fine, half a teaspoon is less sugar than you would put into the beer they're designed to take. I put something like 7 or 8 times that amount [10g / 500ml to be precise] when making sparkling wine.
