I have a large batch of wheat beer that is near the end of fermentation and will shortly be bottled and I was wondering if I could add some Lowicz fruit syrup to it to add teh obvious flavours and to also use the sugars within to act as priming sugar.

Has anyone done this and does anyone know how fermentable these sugars are?

I have used this syrup before but not in beer. Ferments really well, but not sure you're going to end up with much flavour using the small amount needed for priming.

That's a good point. I worked it out to be something like 64g of sugar per 100ml so there won't be a great deal of flavour to add to the finished beer. May be worth trying it as an experiment though. :)
